Metaphorical Acts, focuses on religious ceremony as theater, and the performance of belief. The project explores the relationship between spiritual possibility and structural reality. Through elements, such as lighting, costumes, music, gesture and staging, the congregation is thrown into a mystical realm, free from their own daily reality. Each performative element is designed to awe the viewer, as the entertaining, yet didactic performance commences.
